Who we are

Lamp Network is a private mentorship directory for church communities, operated by Adam Ingle (“we,” “us,” “our”). You can contact us at adam@lampnetwork.com.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We collect only what is necessary to operate the Service.

What data we collect

Account data: Your email address, used to identify you and send transactional emails.

Profile data (optional, entered by you): Your name, bio, profile photo, industries, job functions, help offers, availability, LinkedIn URL, contact email, business name, résumés, and school. Profile data is visible only to verified members of your church.

Church membership: Which church you are associated with and your role within that church (member, moderator, admin).

Job and interest activity: Job posts you create and interest signals you send to other members.

Session data: A session token stored in a cookie to keep you signed in.

Payment data: If you subscribe to the SMB upgrade, payment is processed by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status — not your card number, expiration date, or CVV.

How we use your data

  • To operate the directory — your approved profile is shown to other verified members of your church only
  • To send transactional emails: sign-in links, password reset links, and profile review notifications
  • To notify mentors when another member signals interest in connecting
  • To process and manage subscription payments via Stripe
  • To allow church administrators to manage their community

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell or rent your data to any third party. We do not build advertising profiles.

Who can see your data

Your approved profile is visible only to members of your own church who are logged in to Lamp Network. Members of other churches cannot see your profile. Your email address is only shown to other members if you explicitly add a contact email to your profile. Job posts you create are visible to members of your church.

Church administrators and moderators can see the approval status of profiles within their church and the email addresses of their church’s members for moderation purposes.

Lamp Network staff (currently only Adam Ingle) can access all data for the purpose of operating and maintaining the Service.

Third-party services we use

We share your data with the following third-party processors only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:

  • Resend — transactional email delivery (your email address is passed to send sign-in and notification emails)
  • Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions (your email is shared; Stripe’s privacy policy governs their use of payment data)
  • Hostinger — VPS server hosting (all data is stored on servers managed by Hostinger)
  • Backblaze B2 — file storage for profile photos and résumé uploads

We do not share your data with any other third parties unless required by law.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. When you delete your account, all personal data associated with it — including your profile, job posts, résumés, and interest records — is permanently deleted within 30 days. Aggregate, anonymized statistics (e.g., total member counts) may be retained.

If you would like to request deletion by email, contact us at adam@lampnetwork.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Session tokens expire after 30 days of inactivity. Payment records are retained as required by financial regulations.

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Correct inaccurate data (most profile data can be edited directly in the app)
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data (available in-app or by email)
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format
  • Objection: Object to certain types of processing

These rights apply under GDPR (European Economic Area), CCPA (California), and similar laws. To exercise any right, contact us at adam@lampnetwork.com.

California residents (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. No third-party tracking scripts are loaded on our pages.

Data security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data: HTTPS for all traffic, hashed passwords (bcrypt), database access restricted to our server, and signed URLs for file storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify affected users by email within 72 hours of becoming aware, as required by applicable law.

Children

Lamp Network is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We will notify registered users by email of any material changes to this policy at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
